Hey,
I haven't been listening to your podcast on television because I haven't been watching television because 90% of my non-work time I'm studying this for an exam, and doing this to stay sane.
Was going to start watching TV again, since I'm running out of Buffy The Vampire Slayer commentary to listen to, but I just listened to A Very Serious Ted Problem (still catching up on your podcasts) and now I'm thinking I should give up on TV altogether. From your episode reviews, it sounds like everything out there kinda, well, sucks.
Other than True Blood...which I can't watch (no HBO plus frequent copulating not the best background for studying)...is there anything worth turning on the cable for?
Summer is a tough time for watching TV. There just isn't a ton of great stuff. We're big fans of Michael and Michael Have Issues on Comedy Central. And episodes of Better Off Ted have been burned off over the summer - and they were pretty great. Burn Notice on USA has also been very enjoyable. We're big fans.
But I'll be honest, we've done a lot of supplementing with DVDs including The State and Andy Richter Controls the Universe. But soon, I think we'll be in the midst of possibly interesting stuff on network TV as the fall season starts.
